Title: Interaction of FUS and HDAC1 regulates DNA damage response and repair in neurons
Year Published: 2013
Observation: FUS is important for homologous recombination and NHES mediated DSB repair. FUS is important for induction of DDR response to DNA damage. Recruitment of FUS to sites of DNA damage apprears to reach max. levels while gammaH2AX is still accumulating. FUS and HDAC1 form a complex in response to DNA damage
Comment: fALS FUS mutants are defective in DDR and DNA repair
